Freezing Memories is my Super Power!
Hello, I am Arnaldo (Arnie) Fonseca
My passion for photography started when I was a teenager, in 1981. I was highly influenced by old pictures taken by my dad on his medium format film Mamiya C220 camera. With the support of my parents, I took photography lessons with a professional, learned to use dad's camera, and apprenticed for a while. Since then, I have always used those skills to freeze family, school, or friend moments.
However, family and serving as a United States Air Force officer for 20 years was a greater priority. 24 years later, I acquired my first digital SLR and the passion for capturing moments was rekindled. Since, I had many opportunities to capture family, travel, school, sports, parish events, Catholic retreats, Youth Conferences, and Catholic Sacramental moments (Baptisms, First Communion, Confirmation, and Weddings).
My photography style includes natural, environmental, and artificial light photography. I love to capture pictures that describe the moment in time, that tells the story. I want to viewer to feel present and involved. My focus is on helping everyone look their best as they deserve. I will use basic and natural posing techniques if required, but my intent is to help people show themselves in the best light. For casual moments, at a party, an event, I'm always looking to capture those unexpected memories that will bring joy and life stories.
For all Catholic Sacramental events, my intent is to capture the moments without being seen, noticed, or interfering in any way with the Liturgy. I have a great relationship with priests and deacons, therefore I can keep them reassured that reverence will preserved throughout. For all other portraits, I want the experience to be enjoyable and relaxed. I'm not only there to take pictures. I'm there to look forward to have your picture taken. To enjoy it.
I enjoy freezing moments, whether is a headshot, a portrait, the spirit of those participating in an event, or on occasion when I travel, find unique places in a city or landscape. I earned an Undergraduate Certificate on Digital Photography from Sessions College of Design.
